SPECIAL EVENT Teacher Workshop: Dìa de los Muertos/Day of the Dead Wednesday, August 22, 201210:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Friends Community Room Join a community of teachers to learn how to create a unit around the annual Mexican day of remembrance, Day of the Dead. This workshop will walk you through the steps of guiding students to select a subject to honor in an ofrenda (altar or shrine), conduct research, video blog to share their experience with others, and create an ofrenda.
Registration fee: $15; $10 for MIA members
