LECTURE Saturday, September 8, 201211 a.m. – Noon Friends Community Room Lecturer: Paulette Myers-Rich
A multidisciplinary artist and writer based in St. Paul and New York City, Paulette Myers-Rich makes artist photo-bookworks that incorporate photography, poetry, printmaking and various book arts. The photographs are accompanied by writing that provides context and commentary.
She will talk about her current work and the process of making artist's books.
Myers-Rich received the 2009 Minnesota Book Artist Award. Her work is in international collections, including Walker Art Center, University of Minnesota Library Special Collections, Wellesley College, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minnesota History Center, Carleton College, SUNY Buffalo Poetry Collection, The British Library, The National Library of Ireland, Dublin; New Hall Women's Collection, Cambridge, England; University College, Cork, Ireland; and many private collections.
Admission is $10; $5 for MIA members; free to members of the Library Affinity Group.
