On-site catering is through D'Amico Catering, Inc. Our caterer can create a menu exclusively for your event, or you can choose from pre-planned menus. Guests can enjoy a traditional sit-down meal, a buffet or hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is just minutes from downtown. Free parking and optional valet parking make it easy for guests to attend your special event.

Policies and Procedures

The museum reserves the right to review special-event plans to ensure that they are compatible with the MIA’s mission. Please note that the museum is unable to host political activities, fund-raising events, religious ceremonies, weddings/wedding receptions, commitment ceremonies, proms, memorials, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, product promotions, or be used for other commercial purposes.

To safeguard the art, please be advised that red wine, candles, banners, balloons, and glitter are prohibited in the galleries. Cooking and the use of steam tables in the galleries also are not allowed.
