ClassesEach summer, Art in the Park takes place in Minneapolis parks with recreation centers. MIA instructors visit each park with them fun hands-on art lessons, a creative range of materials, and inspiring reproductions of artwork from the collection. This summer’s theme, Power of Ten, plays in the space where math and art meet. Events

Join us for our free monthly event for families, kids, and the young at heart. One Sunday a month, you'll have a blast making art, going on artful adventures, meeting local artists, musicians, dancers, and story tellers, and more!
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, in close collaboration with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, is delighted to present Art in the Park, a free summer program of youth workshops in the Minneapolis parks.
Look for the MIA at Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s summer events, including the 8th Annual Peace Games, August 12th, 2010 from 12-3 p.m. across the Street from the museum at Washburn Fair Oaks park.
