SPECIAL EVENT Educators' Evening Thursday, October 21, 20104 – 8 p.m. museum-wide In celebration of "Art of the Native Americans: The Thaw Collection," the MIA invites you to partake in Educators' Evening. Enjoy a teacher's lounge with complimentary refreshments, cash bar, door prizes, special educator access to the exhibition, curator and educator talks, and free teacher resources designed to assist with meeting Minnesota state standards for U.S. History and Visual Art
Plus, enjoy live entertainment and activities during the museum's free Third Thursday event. Educators' Evening is held in partnership with the Walker Art Center.
Pick up a free resource CD and poster during Educators' Evening. The resource CD includes classroom curriculum and high quality images from the Fenimore Art Museum and the MIA's permanent collection.

The Art Adventure Program introduces K-6 students to works of art from a variety of cultures. Trained school volunteers visit classrooms with posters of art relating to a common theme, such animals, celebrations, or relationships.
